Great Spotted Woodpecker

Despite the vibrant red feathers, this fellow is quite elusive. One occasionally visits my garden and I can hear him tapping away at the tree bark but only very rarely do I catch sight of him. The seed beads work wonderfully in this design, reflecting the light in a similar way to bird feathers.

The technique is exactly the same as for the mini beadwork kits, just a little more stitching.

This kit contains all you need to complete this great spotted woodpecker - full instructions, printed colour chart, bead list, seed beads, beading fabric, white sewing thread, beading and tapestry needles, a gift card and envelope.

You simply need to add a pair of scissors, plenty of enthusiasm, and a several of hours of your time.
