Swan Needlepoint Keepsake Box

Every Christmas I try to create a little stitching treat for you. Often it goes to the wire and there is some emergency stitching and posting on Christmas Eve. However, I seem to be better prepared this year and have a project ready for the beginning of Advent, giving you plenty of time to make this your own.

This free counted cross stitch needlepoint swan was prompted by the Albion Designers Challenge 2024 to create an ornament. Well, this is a clear example of my not following the instructions!

Truth be told, this wooden box with a frame in the lid was tucked away on the bottom shelf of my local Hobbycraft store calling out for a little creative makeover. If you would like to make your own swan, either as an ornament or a box, then the pattern can be found under the free patterns section of the ‘Home Page’ or the digital patterns section of the ‘Shop’.
