Valentine Cross Stitch

Love certainly seems to be in the air at the moment. Rather like buses, weddings have been a little scant for quite a while, and then suddenly two friends have quite independently married this week. One was completely unexpected and only announced earlier this morning!

I think this is the reason I was drawn to designing a simple cross stitch love token this afternoon. Strawberries seemed to be the ideal motif to celebrate, red, sweet and heart shaped. Stitch it for your Valentine or simply for yourself - it’s good to remember to love ourselves sometimes!

The design is very simple, comprising just six colours, including white, and whole stitches. I haven’t listed any materials so just use what you may already have in your stash. Feel free to change the palette to suit your own taste or use parts of the design for other projects.
