Silvereye Counted Cross Stitch
This little cross stitch bird started life following a request from New Zealand for a Christmas cross stitch design. The silvereye bird is native to this area and with its dusky pink feathers and shape was reminiscent of a traditional robin. I took some artistic licence with the design but I hope I managed to capture the spirit of this little bird.
The design is available to stitch on either 14 count Aida or 28 count Cashel Linen. Both options will give a finished needlework that fits perfectly in a 5” embroidery hoop.
The kit contains all you need to stitch this little bird: full colour chart and instructions, pre-sorted Anchor and DMC embroidery threads, John James needle, your choice of embroidery fabric and some beady eyes. You will also need some sharp scissors to trim your threads.
The embroidery hoop is not included in the kit but there is an option in the drop down menu to include one or you may already have something suitable in your stash.
